El proyecto "Dicì frittata, entendió tortilla" nace con la idea de la colaboración entre el colectivo Zizì y la galería/taller Tiendaderecha. La intencion es crear una exposición que no solo sea una exhibición de trabajos acabados, sino el resultado de un proceso visible y publico. El juego esta inspirado en el concepto de "el telefono sin hilo": La frase de inicio es "dicì frittata, entendió tortilla", la primera ilustradora comenzara a desarrollar una historia; dibujara tres paginas y luego la ilustradora siguiente continuará el juego.

Las reglas del juego:
- usar solo dos colores por todas las ilustraciones (negro y amarillo) y también el mismo formato (20x20 cm).
- cada ilustradora debera hacer tres ilustraciones con tres breves textos.
- la siguiente ilustradora de la lista no podra comenzar a trabajar antes que la primera no haya acabo.

I've decided to conclude the memoirs of the old year writing my personal classification of the things that I've read/seen/listened this year and that I've liked more.
I realize to have read only about ten books this year (I'm a slow reader and I'm so sorry about that) but a lot of comic strips and books for children. However the books that I've read have been selected with care and many of them have been unbelievable experiences.

Ho deciso di concludere i ricordi del vecchio anno stilando una mia personalissima classifica delle cose che ho letto/visto/ascoltato quest'anno e che mi sono piaciute di più.
Mi rendo conto di aver letto solo una decina di libri quest'anno (sono una lettrice lentissima e mi dispiace non poco), ma moltissimi fumetti e libri per bambini. Però i libri che ho letto li ho selezionati con cura e molti sono stati delle esperienze incredibili.

Tra quelli che mi hanno lasciata perplessa: Where the wild things are perché l'ho visto da poco e ancora non ho capito se mi è piaiciuto o no, vederlo mi ha svuotata. 500 days of summer mi ha perfino infastidita, mi è sembrato un totale ammiccare a un certo tipo di pubblico che ha un certo tipo di gusti, molto costruito, un peccato perché poteva essere un bel film.

2009 has been the year of:
my second semester in Barcelona, a 15 days disastrous home rent, a new home that made my lifetime in Bcn amazing, new projects, lots of tapas, my first silkscreened pillow, happy times with my wonderful boyfriend, a short turn back in Urbino, my erasmus friends Esther and Michelle, lots of drawings, amazing parties, big mess in my room, the fantastic Zizì collective exhibition in Bologna, new fanzines, Escola Massana happy times, my dear old ISIA friends (Cate, Erica, Michela, Luna), my first time in Pisa, Duduá inauguration parties, a new bag, Ilu-station festival de fanzine, a little trip with Cristina in Girona, despedidas, my goodbye to Barcelona, my goodbye to ISIA lifetime, a summer passed in italian islands, my first workshop at Freeshout, a new life in Pisa, first Zizì exhibition in Paris, my first trip in Paris.
And lots of other fantastic things like Madrid holiday with Kike, the tea time with Carmen, the funny and surreal days passed with Arianna and Martina, Albarracin workshop, Lucca Comics, my illustration workshop at Castelvecchio, the two days with Stefano and the convicts of Spoleto jail, the exhibition in Pisa with Lucia and Tuono.
This year I met lots of new friends, I'm sooooo glad for that.

Thank you 2009, you have been incredible and I'll miss you.

My Cagatio at Ilu·station

On december 12th it has been the inauguration of Ilu·station's exhibition on the Cagatio, in the bookstore Acadabra of Barcellona. Here is a small report for the ones (as me) who lost that, a real shame, looking at the video and the photos! Fortunately my Cagatio was present, so I have felt myself a little bit there.

Il 12 dicembre c'è stata l'inaugurazione della mostra di Ilu·station sui Cagatio nella libreria Acadabra di Barcellona. Ecco un piccolo reportage per chi come me se l'è perso, un vero peccato, basta vedere il video e le foto! Fortunatamente il mio cagatio era presente e così mi sono sentita un po' li anche io.

Ho partecipato a un concorso su Rodari. Questa illustrazione l'ho fatta subito dopo essere tornata da Parigi, non so ancora se mi convince. Quando vedo troppe cose devo avere il tempo di digerirle e farle mie. L'esperimento non mi dispiace.

I have participated in a contest on Rodari. I have done this illustration immediately after my turn back from Paris, I still don't know if it convinces me. When I see too many things I must have the time to digest them and to do them mine. I think the experiment is not so bad.

Here I am, I'm back from a couple of days, 9 days outside home, sleeping in sleeping bag and walking the whole day were really strong, I am still tired and a little bit slow.
Paris has stunned us with the fresh air and the thousand things to do: the exhibition to set on, the meetings with the publishers at the Salon, the vernissages, the chatters, the bookstores, the shops, the museums, the macarons, the flea markets and the evenings in the clubs. As a stupid I haven't take photos into the book-fair of Montreuil, but I have posted on flickr some photos taken around.
Thanks to the dear Bastien that has hosted us and offered a roof and a studio where staying, Caterina and Martina for the company and the support, Cristina y Andrea por la amistad, Giulia, Sabrina, Umberto and Riccardo for the amusement and the strolls together and a thank yo to all the old and new friends met in Montreuil! Eccomi, sono tornata da un paio di giorni, 9 giorni fuori casa, dormendo in un sacco a pelo e camminando tutto il giorno si sono fatti sentire, sono ancora stanca e un po' lenta.
Parigi ci ha frastornate con l'aria fresca e le mille cose da fare: la mostra da allestire, gli incontri con gli editori al salone, i vernissage, le chiacchiere, le librerie, i negozi, i musei, i macarons, i mercatini delle pulci e le serate nei locali. Come una tonta non ho fatto foto del salone ma su flickr ho postato alcune foto fatte in giro.
Grazie al caro Bastien che ci ha ospitato e offerto un tetto e un atelier dove appoggiarci, Caterina e Martina per la compagnia e il sostegno, Cristina y Andrea pour l'amistad, Giulia, Sabrina, Umberto e Riccardo per lo spasso e i giretti insieme e ai tanti amici vecchi e nuovi incontrati a Montreuil! It's a busy period, Lucca Comics was amazing and it was lovely seeing all the old friends, passing a good time with them, spending too much money in comic-books and eating typical toscany food. I have too many projects in progress and not so much time to work, soon I'm going to have another trip, this is a big one (surprise! surprise!) and I'm a little bit worried about...

I give you a preview of this illustration I did today for a book I'm working on and down here you can find a funny video which explains how to make your cagatio.
It's part of an exhibition made by Ilu·station friends from Barcelona where I'm invitated to take part, so very soon you'll see my cagatio version! Don't you know/remember what a cagatio is? I draw about it here and there's a clear video here.

È un periodo pieno di impegni, Lucca Comics è stata fantastica ed è stato bello rivedere tutti i vecchi amici, passare un po' di tempo con loro, spendere troppi soldi in fumetti e mangiare cibo toscano, presto una chicca su milkandmint riguardo Lucca, per ora potete vedere alcune riflessioni sulla fiera. Ora ho molti progetti da portare a termine e non molto tempo per lavorare, prima di un'altro viaggio alle porte, questo per una roba grossa (sorpresa!) e sono un po' preoccupata...

Vi do un assaggio di un'illustrazione che ho fatto oggi per una pubblicazione a cui sto lavorando e giusto qui sotto potete trovare un video divertente per come montare il vostro cagatio.
È parte di una mostra organizzata dagli amici di Ilu·station di Barcellona a cui sono stata invitata, quindi presto vedrete la mia versione di cagatio! Non vi ricordate/sapete cosa è un cagatio? Ne ho disegnato un po' qui e qui c'è un video abbastanza esplicativo.

Paris ou là là

As anticipated, I disclose my next trip! I'm going to Paris with Martina and Caterina to prepare the Zizì exhibition and to visit the bookfair of Montreuil. I'm passing 9 days in Paris, where have never been, I 've lots of expectations, let's hope!

I've started to post some comics in Coreingrapho, a comic blog. "Points of view" is a mute story (so everybody can read it) I created in three evenings, in Albarracin (Spain) last june. I was spending some days in a great workshop with the spanish comic drawer Max. The rule was to create a story without words or balloons, no more. Enjoy.

Ho passato alcuni giorni ad un bel workshop tenuto dal disengatore di fumetti spagnolo Max. L'unica regola era di creare una storia senza parole o balloons. Divertitevi.

I'm working in a workshop with 7 boys and girls in a center for people mentally disabled. We are going to make a picture book together, it's a long process, a little strong but a great experience! I love our selfportrait section. The last one is me finished by Olindo who is so faster to draw.

Stiamo progettando insieme un libro illustrato tutto fatto da loro, è un processo molto lento, un po' difficile, ma un esperienza fantastica! In august I worked on those illustrations for the september issue of Nick Magazine (#9). I founded very interesting working on portraits, it is very hard but trying and trying, I think it helped me to grow and I was satisfied from the result. I illustrated the portraits of the actors interviewed: Diane Kruger, Nicolas Cage, Alba Rohrwacher.

Ad agosto ho lavorato a queste illustrazioni per il numero di settembre di Nick Magazine (#9). Ho trovato molto interessante lavorare su dei ritratti, è decisamente difficile ma provando e provando, penso mi abbia aiutata a crescere e il risultato mi soddisfa. Ho illustrato i ritratti di tre attori intervistati: Diane Kruger, Nicolas Cage, Alba Rohrwacher.

Ho iniziato a fare alcuni disegni per il gruppo inventato da Gemma Correll, è veramente divertente, anche se non vado fuori molto spesso in questo periodo e il mio abbigliamente è spesso lo stesso (felpe e pigiami!). Più lavori sul mio flickr.

My room is a strange fusion between mess and order, but I like it.
I think it really reflects how I do feel, a little bit lost after my life period in Barcellona, an interior disorder in which I'm trying to organize my new life and my new things-to-do list. I miss my past months but I want to live well the next ones.

La mia camera è uno strano mix tra disordine e ordine, ma non mi dispiace.
Penso che in realtà rifletta come mi sento, un po' persa dopo il periodo passato a Barcellona, un dirordine interno nel quale sto cercando di organizzare la mia nuova vita e la mia nuova lista di cose da fare. Mi mancano i mesi passati, ma voglio vivere meglio quelli futuri.

This lovely portrait was taken by a dear friend, Alicia. She's the owner of the Duduà, one of my favourites shops in Barcelona. This picture was taken after a workshop to make softies I frequented in her shop. Now Alicia had open a personal website full of her genial ideas for exhibitions, workshop, products and more. Animal's blog (Animals is an italian comics magazine) posted two skethces I made in my new sketchbook started last july at Tremiti Islands. Here I post a third one, up you can see my sister and down my mother's Birkenstock with the suncream into. The exhibition has gone wee, the concerts were good and people too.
